Ed Smith has been an innovator in marketing and communications for more than 20 years.
Having started his career as an advertising copywriter and illustrator, Ed was an early adopter of interactive marketing and web design at the start of the dot com boom in the mid to late 1990’s. He served as the first Creative Director of a large Boston area web design firm where he helped mid to larger size businesses to bring their brick and mortar brands online.
As a Principal, Vice President and Director of Creative and Marketing Communications for e-commerce website, 3balls.com, Ed helped to build the fledgeling start-up into one of the most iconic Brands in online golf equipment sales. The website was recognized by Internet Retailer magazine as one of the 500 top grossing websites in North America and was later inducted into the eBay Hall of Fame by then CEO of ebay, Meg Whitman. 3balls was acquired in 2014.
Prior to launching Smith and Company, Ed had been a private marketing and communications consultant working with select clients from diverse sectors including Architecture/Engineering/Construction, healthcare, e-commerce, the entertainment industry as well as non profit organizations.
